Calls for art: 

New Tags!!  Updated tags with the new logo were distributed.  We will phase them in gradually, replacing the old tags as switchouts occur, and as the old ones are used up.

Exhibit updates:  To sign up, contact coordinator

If you sign up, you will be asked to confirm about 1 week prior.  If you do not confirm, you will be removed from the list, and your spot given to one on a wait list.

* York Merchant (Wireworks):  artists may take their own work in any time.  Register with the manager (Kim Bergen).  Bring your own hammer and picture hook.

This venue will be month-by-month.  They handle sales, take 10% commission.

New venue possibilities:  the coffee house in Stewartstown isn’t open yet.  

Other possibilities for individual artists are Gallery 227 and Gather 256, as well as Heidelberg UM church, all in York city.


NEXT MEETING:  4th Thursday is December 28 :  Let’s have some fun with our end-of-the-year party if there is enough interest.  Let Carol Little know by December 15 if you plan to attend.


Art Sharing:  John Jungclaus shared a watercolor of a winter scene.  We discussed why so few paint winter scenes.  Because they don’t sell well?  Because they make people feel cold?

Tags:    Coordinators should indicate whether tags should be bottom or right-side hang.  Tags should be highlighted for either see attendant or contact the artist.


Reminder: Gallery Group User Site: location – 2nd computer in office; YAA-GG; documents available (e.g. tags, exhibit templates guidelines, etc.)

Note:  Art work that is exhibited by the Gallery Group is to be original, not prints of the original artwork.  

When removing sold art, first contact the coordinator to make arrangements for a replacement.
