OLD/NEW BUSINESS:
·
YAA board: Carol Little reported that the board is
pleased to work with us to promote both the organization and the group. They requested that we include YAA info at
the venues if possible, and that as little space as possible at the rear
of the studio be taken up with GG paintings. Bill Erwin asked if the current policy
remains that we may use YAA for credit card sales, with state tax being paid,
and a 10% fee to YAA deducted from the sale price. We assume that it is still the policy, and
Carol will ensure the office managers are aware of it.
·
Linda Buckwalter (blog) & Tina Mostov (Facebook) will work with Liz Walker, 1st
vice-president, to coordinate communications with those of YAA
·
Beth Fowler
reported that GG is invited to have a
display table at the annual meeting of YAA on May 16, at 6:00 p.m. with a
pot luck supper. Members who have
sold work through GG are asked to send images of the work to Linda Buckwalter. Rosa Luz will supply a list of venues, with
logos if possible, and Debi Peters (missdebi27@comcast.net) will coordinate the display. We will also try to have photos of venue
exhibits on display.
·
Fairie Festival: YAA is partnering with Spoutwood Farms for
the festival, with a booth, and is in need of volunteers, both for the booth,
and to help with parking, set-up and tear-down, May 4, 5, 6 & 7.
Volunteers get free entrance to the festival. Contact Brandi in the YAA office.
·
Motion : to change the Guidelines for Organizations
Interested in Displalying Artwork by the Gallery Group, 3rd bullet
point to read, “Normal GG exhibits run from 1 – 2 months,” with the
remainder of the wording intact. Moved
by B. Erwin, 2nd by T. Mostov.
Passed.
