venue to sign up, and to get directions if you need them.
Reminders: Please make
every effort to pick up your art at a switchout; having to take art back to YAA
puts extra burden on the coordinator.
Also, when you make a sale, contact the coordinator
before you remove the art and replace it.
Judy Orcutt: info on developments at the Yorktowne Hotel
as a possible venue for us.: interested,
but not ready for a long time. Deadline for applications from
individual artists is Sept 28. khogeman@yceapa.org for info.

YAA board: They
would like to know how to get GG members more involved with YAA in general, and
also how we can be a more unified, coordinated entity with YAA
o
Suggestions: We
should be exhibiting in the shows at YAA, and should attend the opening
reception even if we don’t have a piece in.
Could YAA reserve a slot in the SLDanyo gallery for GG
once/year?
Possibly
an exhibit of small works priced under a specified amount, near the winter
holidays?
o
We should
volunteer for whatever we can, keeping in mind that YAA runs on volunteers.
Yaa
could circulate a list of volunteer needs, especially to new members.
o
Venue coordinators should post a current
class listing at the venue, near the exhibit if possible.
Could a
list of classes which have been cancelled be posted near the office?
o
Articles
should appear in the YAA newsletter (Brushstrokes) each issue,
promoting the Gallery Group’s latest exhibits, sales, and emphasizing the
quality of art in the exhibits. Alison Baker volunteered to write these
articles, and will get in touch with Janie McKnight,
editor.

Materials
in back of studio: paintings, packing
materials: if they’re yours, please
claim them.
o
When
picking up materials during a class session, ask permission of instructor as a
courtesy.

venues. Blog
can be used for any news of sales, or perhaps interesting galleries to visit,
to organize a trip to a museum exhibit, calls for artists for

are supposed to take care of seeing that they are posted.

Tags: Coordinators should indicate whether tags
should be bottom or right side hang. Tags
should be highlighted for either see attendant or contact the artist.

had plenty of tags on hand!

We start with a pot luck lunch, followed by our game. Bring a white elephant gift! Kathy
